Medication-Related Impaired Driving: For Pharmacy Technicians

This curriculum is co-sponsored by Walgreens and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It is being piloted as part of a NHTSA project. A goal of NHTSA’s Impaired Driving Division is to increase the number of health care professionals with an understanding of the effects of medications on driving. Health professionals such as physicians, nurses and pharmacists not only regularly interact with patients who use medications, but have a high degree of credibility and are a trusted source of information for the general public with a high degree of credibility.
