Annual Scientific Assembly

Sessions during the Assembly will focus on four disease states which are common health concerns in the South – Diabetes, Heart Failure, Asthma, and Depression. Our panel of world-class experts in these fields are developing the content to include easily enacted changes in clinical daily practice to improve the quality of life of patients afflicted with these diseases, including criteria developed by the Institute of Medicine to improve health care: timeliness, safety, effectiveness, equitability and patient-centered interventions.
